Industrial and Organizational Psychology

Industrial and Organizational (I / O) Psychology is a subfield of psychology that includes every issue related to workplace. Also, I / O Psychology is a subfield of psychology that includes both the production and the application of scientific knowledge. I / O Psychology, as the name implies, is consisted of a combination of two areas that are difficult to separate from each other. Industrial psychology focuses on defining the tasks depending on which tasks should be performed and what skills should be possessed; identifying, selecting and training qualified candidates; monitoring employee performance, evaluating and providing feedback to employees. The second field named as organizational psychology deals with the issues such as how to increase employee motivation, satisfaction and loyalty, raise effective leaders, find solutions to the problems experienced by organizations in line with changing customer demands and technology. I / O psychologists are both scientists who conduct researches in organizations and practitioners who find scientific solutions to real problems in organizations.
