With the decision of the Board of Directors dated 16.12.2016, it was approved that the Occupational Accident and Occupational Disease insurance premium expenses of our students who do voluntary internship at our university will be covered by the Department of Health, Culture and Sports. Frequently Asked Questions About Internship

1. If a student is doing internship at more than one workplace within the same date range, should a separate internship form be filled out for each workplace?

No. In the intern student information form (Appendix 2), regardless of the workplace, the date the student starts, and the end date of the internship should be written, and the names of the workplaces should be indicated with a hyphen under the internship location column. So, for example, if a student is doing both an internship within the scope of the course and a voluntary internship in the spring semester, a single student intern information form should be filled out for this student.

2. What should I pay attention to if I will be doing internship in more than one workplace at different times?

If the internship will be done in two different workplaces at different times, a separate information form must be prepared for each workplace. (The necessary documents for the application must be submitted to the department secretary at least 20 days before the start date of the second internship).

3. Can insurance procedures be canceled if a student whose insurance procedures have been initiated by the Directorate of SKS decides not to do an internship?

Yes, it can be canceled. However, the student must notify the department internship coordinator with a written petition, explaining the reason for the cancellation or suspension of the procedures.

4. When should I submit the internship application at the latest?

The documents required for the application must be submitted to the department secretariat no later than 20 days before the internship start date.

5. Is there a limit to the number of internship days?

Yes, there is. Voluntary internship should be arranged for a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 30 working days. In addition, internship can be done for a minimum of 3 working days and a maximum of 5 working days in a week.
